Natural dye is a kind of mystery until you get the
result. You never know what color it can turn into.
White cotton and linen yarn dyed in Black Beans extract
became like this, lavender purple color and did sashiko.

I always mean to try this when I soak black beans and then I don’t! Did you just soak the cloth in the black bean juice? Good to see you here Coco 🙂

After soaking in black bean extract, I used “alum” to
let the color stay but there are other things you can use, I am sure.
Any kind of experiment like this is fun! Hope you enjoy it.
